I was still doing well and mom was good.
Well, she was great but didnt want to be touched-
this is because she had bloodwork done
at un-godly o'clock early morning.
I know it can be quite confusing to be accosted and a tight
tourniquet put on and then poked!
I spoke with the dietitian about her hating fish and to make
sure she gets her yogurt drink- and the fact she had not gotten
anything to drink last time i was there.. she said mom "gained"
three pounds. The rest of the meeting was just them saying how
funny she is and that they enjoy her sense of humor.
How she actually recognizes her room once things are pointed out
and she actually recognized a friend downstairs :)
they said she is always asking for me and sometimes thinks one of them
is me.
Meanwhile she sat and "read" a paperback book.
After I left I went to goodwill and bought some sweaters, a
summer hat, summer scarves, and a book on flower arranging.
She loves to dress up so the hat should be fun for her.
Yesterday my anam cara and I went to check out the veterans
cemetery. We watched one military honor ceremony and got
the gist of what will happen next month.
Then after lunch he drove up to see the stone
paver I had purchased to be placed in the veterans memorial park.
We found it and it wasn't misspelled or anything,Whew!
At least all the paperwork is done WOOT !
