Father

Sister says he is being nasty to her, telling her to take him to her house for him to shave.
She said he told her that is what I used to do- Uh, NO.
He told her never to come back if she wouldn't do it.
He knows she needs his money.
She said a nurse at the home called him a "piece of work".
He is not allowed to have bladed disposable razors anymore
so she had to buy an electric one. He wont let anyone cut
his hair or do any other of the things I used to do for him.

I have not spoken to or visited him.
The stress he caused made my immune system attack my eye-
a permanent reminder.

Mother turns 86

Went over her place this morning with balloons.
Redressed her.
Blouse she had on had a chocolate stain, and she had on stockings
held up by bedsheet elastic clips clipped to her underpants LoL!
Also she had on a black sexy lace body suit that was too small & not snapped at the crotch.
This was given to her by the "gentleman" that I told never to return.
Anyways, after redressing we were off to lunch with her friend.
We both were so exhausted upon return that we went to bed.
She called me at 5pm to say "thank you, I had a wonderful time!"
Unfortunately I was still in bed and couldn't get up to cook
her bday dinner or give her the cake I bought.
Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Oy, she just called asking if we were doing something tomorrow with her
friend since it was on the calendar.
I told her to cross the day off....
Alzheimers and naps do not mix :P

Senior Assessment

So, I got to her door to find her in her bathrobe!
Gaaah! Thank goodness I always arrive 1/2 hour incase of this.
Multiple reminder calls make no difference.
She weighs 133 and lost a couple more points on the test.
We agreed to keep her on aracept 5mg since once you quit there is no going back.
He said there really wasn't any reason to see them except if
psych problems arise.
I think I will continue unless it becomes too much for her in future.
Afterwards I whisked her to AAA to renew her photo ID.
I think it is good to have a current one even though I do
not let her have it.
Made her soup once home and I am pretty sure she will nap.
Whew, what a morning !

Spring Forward is Better

Mother seems to do much better with the longer days.
She takes a nap after breakfast to make up for being up at night.
Today and yesterday was way too cold to go outside, so we walked up and down stairs or around a big room we have here.
Exercise with arm circles, punching out, reaching, etc.
Then off to get the mail and sit over there for a bit.
Cooked a bunch of chicken legs for her and put them in her freezer.
Tomorrow we go to the "memory doctor" where she draws a clock
and they tell me she has zero short term memory.
I will tell them she is having more difficulty communicating.
Seems a waste to me.
Maybe I will ask him "why are we here?" LoL
