Rant Coming

Caring for someone who's score on the memory test is zero
is interesting indeed.
The score actually goes below zero.
Like yesterday after hanging up her coat she asked if she had worn it
and if it was mine.
Then asked if we were going to a party-
she forgot yesterday's thanksgiving meal.
The daily accusations she makes towards me of the wacky
 things she does is irritating.
Ya right, I threw your hearing aid on the floor, I hid your keys,
I put the sausages on the baseboard.
Yup, you read that right-
sausages in a ziploc on the baseboard heater, melting.
Another thing is the clothing that she says is too big-
and has to belong to a man that was there and left it.
She thinks she is very small and all those medium shirts are huge.
But if there is just one person sitting on a bench
there isnt enough room.
Ok, just one more...
the used kleenex tissues Everywhere, they and everything else
do not get thrown away.
Ah well. Residents here really enjoy seeing us walking around
and many join us to place a few puzzle pieces and reminisce
about their mothers.

I am ever amazed at all you have dealt with and continue to deal with. To me, the degeneration of the mind of someone who took care of you when you were small is a frightening thing! More frightening, even, than the degeneration of the body which naturally comes with age.
One helluva woman, you are! <3
