Mother Fell

On october fourth 4:00 after sitting outside, we got our mail
and were walking in when all of a sudden my mother went "Oh!" and I see her twirling like a ballerina.
Down she crumpled.
The lobby was jam full of people jockeying for the elevator. Some giving advice.
She had a cut on her eyebrow from the wall molding.
Glasses bent.
Security brought a wheelchair and I put her in it since she said she was dizzy.
I ran upstairs and got her cards,
brought my car around and he rolled her over she got in and off we went.
First I went by accident to a walk in and after dealing with their half-hearted dopy attitude
We were on the way to the 24hr emergency place i meant to go to.
No, not a hospital in the city, but better.
Anyways, check in was quick and the wait short.
A CT scan of her head was done because her blood pressure was 180
and elderly with brain shrinkage  have a greater risk of brain bleed
because there is more room to knock around.
EKG, tetnus shot for cut, ice for swelling.
The worse thing was the neck brace they put on her and had to keep
on for an hour till CT results came back from the city hospital.
She REALLY wanted to leave, she really wanted that thing off her neck!
We were there from around 6-9:30
Stopped and grabbed hamburgers and were home by 10pm.
They were awesome and we would have been all night at a hospital.
She had no other injury but the eyebrow which
gave her a bruise but no other bruising on her body at all!!

Praise the Lord she was not terribly injured. I have seen many people fall like that and it be very serious afterwards. Hope she continues to be well and alert. HUGS to you you are doing a wonderful caring job with her.
