Mother was able to focus

The lawyer came to mother's apartment.
 After the initial excitement  of having a guest and just yacking
she was able to focus on what he was asking and give coherent
answers.
He was very patient and calm but to the point.
It is very hard to speak to a person who is easily distracted
by what we think of as normal conversation-
We include the past or other people to flesh out our sentences,
but this just confuses some people.
After a bit, I sat quietly so she could focus on him only and
she did very well.
All Done !
Today we will go and close out her old PO box since her SS check
is finally being direct deposited.
Trying to focus on these triumphs
but the future still awaits......
